An Exciting Destination is in Your Future

A Grand Vision for the

Museum of the American Railroad

Welcome to an exciting glimpse into the future of an extraordinary museum - one that will embark on the most ambitious project of its 60+ years of existence. The Museum of the American Railroad in Frisco, Texas is about to transition from basic facilities construction to creating architectural wonders that will house and present its priceless collection.

The evocative images that follow are the product of museum planners, civil engineers, architects, and community stakeholders that envision one of the finest transportation museums in the nation. Following our historic move from Dallas to Frisco, and the successful completion of Phase I site improvements, we are excited to build on that solid base and reveal the next phase of construction.

Like so many cities and towns across our nation, Frisco owes its very beginnings to the railroad. This conveyance and connection to the outside world set this community on a path to unprecedented growth and prosperity. Let’s celebrate Frisco’s amazing story. Great cities deserve great museums. Now, we present to you our visions of a premiere destination that will be a source of community pride - one that will entertain, educate, inspire, and spark curiosity.

This website features five pages, along with seven videos highlighting the fantastic creative product from our planners and designers. The website will be updated periodically as more plans and details are developed. All of this is a precursor to an ambitious capital campaign in the near future. For now, sit back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy!
